The 'Facehugger'

Our in-house Carlablackiae x Forgetti hybrid is named after the terrifying alien babe, the 'Facehugger,' from the epic movie franchise, Alien.

This hybrid appears to be Carla-forward with a Forgetti-like fused sinus. The emergent leaf is velvet-galore with its rich & luxurious-looking dark chocolate color. This dark canvas makes the white dot sinus & the nine thin veins which resemble the appendages of the Facehugger even more prominent. Our mother plant also grows to a monstrous size, flowering with every new leaf, proving its vigor & vitality as a dark & velvet-type anthurium.
